class information:

  • Classic and authentic, Hatha focuses on combining breath and physical work to energise and ground the body and mind. Students work dynamically to build towards holding postures and creating controlled energy.

  • Start your day the right way with a stretchy yoga flow, incorporating a blend of traditional yoga practice with modern movement and fluid sequences to awaken the senses and prepare you for the day.

  • Sequences of postures, moving from one to another seamlessly using breath. Classes offer a variety of postures and no two classes are ever quite alike, though sequencing becomes familiar over time enabling your body to anticipate and embrace the flow.

  • For those completely new to the practice, we’ll help to get you started on your yoga journey! You’ll be able to build your confidence and establish the fundamentals of yoga, laying the groundwork to enable you to attend regular classes.

  • A powerful, energetic form of yoga where students move fluidly from one pose to the next while connecting breathing to movement. Expect to feel energised and invigorated as your body and mind strengthen and unite each week.

  • For mums-to-be from 13 weeks, help prepare body and mind for labour and motherhood. Practising pregnancy yoga can help adapt to changes in the body, reduce fatigue and tension while promoting strength, flexibility, increased energy and circulation.

  • Low impact exercise suitable for all ages and fitness levels. Regular classes will allow you to exercise safely while working on your core strength, mobility and posture. Pilates is also excellent for relieving stress and tension.

    Here at well & good we currently offer mat-based pilates. If you are new to pilates, our experienced teachers would be glad to answer any questions you may have regarding where to begin.

    The Pilates method is precise and hands on, so group classes are kept small to ensure we can give full attention to the comfort and safety of clients.

  • High Intensity Interval Training is designed as a full body workout to get your heart pumping and your muscles working. Based around total effort intervals with short recoveries, you'll use bodyweight exercises to push you to the limit delivering a cardio and strength workout in a short, sharp session.

    HIIT uses a lot of plyometric movements. Plyometrics, also known as jump training or plyos, are exercises in which muscles exert maximum force in short intervals of time, with the goal of increasing power.

    In recent years the health benefits of HIIT training have been well documented. Benefits of HIIT include burning calories, losing weight, and building muscle. HIIT can also help you lower blood pressure and blood sugar, while improving oxygen and blood flow.

  • Barre has been given considerable coverage in the fitness and general press of late (with good reason!). The unique workout experience that barre offers is high intensity, low impact and has fast and impressive results on your overall fitness and strength.

    Our Barre classes are a total body workout that includes low-impact but intense movements, providing shaping and definition across the body’s muscle groups. Combining the body conditioning of ballet, gentle strength training of pilates and deep stretching of yoga, this class works towards toned arms, lithe thighs, sculpted buttocks and a strong core.

    No previous experience of ballet or yoga is required. It is a moderate-to-high intensity class with a lot of emphasis on legs and glutes, so expect those thighs to burn!
